Re: ROCOR was ecumenist from the beginning
Even though ROCOR was in communion with the New Calendarists, this doesn't make them ecumenist. The majority of ROCOR parishes (excluding parishes like the ROCA in Hobart Tasmania which has concelebrated with the World Orthodox since 1973) refused to give communion to the New Calendarists . Like th...

Re: Why was the Gospel of St Barnabas cut?
St. Barnabas never wrote this, it's a very late sectarian work, chronologically much nearer to us than to St. Barnabas, do not be deceived.

Re: Is Francis the Worst Pope Ever?
Francis is, IMHO, just how Popes will look in the long run if the world lasts enough for that. Re: How is Traditional Orthodox Christianity lived in Eastern Europe?
I was just wondering if Old Calendarist groups might still have whole towns or even regions under them or if they would mostly represent niche things, just like Orthodoxy in general is niche in the West (maybe with the exception of parts of Guatemala). The Brazilian city I was referring to is Campos...

Re: Square Halo?
This is a mosaic of Pope St. John VII. this must have been more commonplace back then though this is the only example I've seen so far. I would like to go slightly off topic here, The article posted suggests that the halo has pagan roots, do you believe this? the author says that the only mention o...
