There is actually an account by Fr. Seraphim Rose in the "Little Russian Philokalia" about this event too! I will search for it but I remember it had to do with some monks refusing to accept the new calendar, and waiting for a priest who was on the Old Calendar to commune them, as soon as ...

He was received into ROCOR-MP by Met. Ilarion but as soon as he died and Nicholas was elected, he reversed that decision, forcing Fr. Peter into a "canonical limbo" to speak. He is under no Bishop and doesn't have a lawful antimension.

Incorruption can be a punishment too, people forget.   Not only can it be, but this is the default interpretation in the absence of some physical cause of failure to decompose (like bog bodies).
