Re: Orthodox struggles against Ecumenism and Impurity
so the ROCOR was never truly a True Orthodox Synod. There were plenty of things happening on all sides so don't let yourself get side-swiped by cradle Greek old calendarists that think they are the only true Orthodox Church. Get ALL the facts. ROCOR was a True Orthodox Synod and there is St. Metrop...

Re: Texas - 'No Court, No Law' Will Change Definition
His statement sounds solid, but he still bows down to the ruling. He's a man that sits on the fence. Luke-warm. He's playing his cards close to his chest, but I won't be surprised if he one day gives in altogether. Either that or he will resign because they will oust him out. It truly is the end of ...

Re: Synods who have abandoned True Orthodoxy
Reading these posts reminds me of the Gospel reading for today ( June 9/May 27) Matthew 7:15-21 "Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits..." The Holy Fathers warn that many may speak the faith, ...

Re: Three day fast for communion
Christ is Risen! We should prepare with great care and approach with fear as the priest says when he comes out with the Holy Chalice. We are approaching the Body and Blood of Christ. If you want to go every Sunday then confession and fasting is absolutely required. I don't understand this liberal at...

Actually, I should correct myself. The name is Panayoita. And for males it's Panayoitis. Her name is so special that it also has a male version. Most other female names can be derived from the original male name.
