The heretical Ecumenist Patriarch Bartholomew is making final preparations in Istanbul for a grand summit of the various Ecumenist “Orthodox” churches to be held in 2016. As early as 1923, the Patriarchate of Constantinople had considered the convening of a Pan-Orthodox Council to implement its Ecumenist ambitions. The proposed 2016 Council can be seen as the final attempt by the Patriarchate to align itself with Protestant and Roman Catholic Ecumenism/Secularism. This Council will, for the first time ever, gather representatives from all fourteen independent “Orthodox” Churches. These churches have already adopted the heresy of Ecumenism/Secularism but Patriarch Bartholomew wants to confirm his position as the head of these fourteen independent churches.
There will be two main protagonists at this Council; the Patriarchs of Constantinople and Moscow. This council will be a “house divided against itself” and it “will not be able to stand” (Mark 3:25). The Patriarchate of Constantinople is directed by the White House and the Patriarchate of Moscow is directed by the Kremlin.
There is great enmity on many fronts between them. For instance, how will the Council resolve the crisis in Ukraine where two competing Orthodox churches emerged after the dissolution of the Soviet Union? On the one side, there is the Ukrainian Church that is part of the Moscow Patriarchate and, on the other side there is the Ukrainian Church (Kyiv Patriarchate), recognized by Constantinople, that supports anti-Russian sentiments in Ukraine. This religious community is the second largest Orthodox Church after that of Russia.
The Patriarchate of Constantinople has named this upcoming council, The Holy and Great Council of the Orthodox Church. This is an attempt to make a connection between this false council and the Holy Ecumenical Councils that proclaimed the Orthodox Faith. The true nature of this “False Council” is seen in its agenda that has been prepared by The Inter-Orthodox Special Committee.
This “False Council” has no intention to proclaim the Orthodox Faith. Actually, it seeks to subvert the Faith of the Holy Councils. The Patriarch seeks to establish a common date for Holy Pascha with the Papists, as well as, to make the “New-Calendar” the official calendar. All this so that heretics and “Orthodox” can celebrate together. Many impediments to marriage, pertaining to both clergy and laity, will be eliminated. Fasting regulations will be “modernized”. The rights of sexual minorities will be proclaimed. The ecclesiastical status of "separated Christians" and "separated churches" will be clarified. In short, this “False Council” creates a Church conformed to a New World Order that will replace the Church of our Fathers.
