I think that both of you should be more worry for Alexey´s words about the ROCOR-MP "Uniya" than for ROCiE. The first one will affect more and directly to you.

Thank you Father for taking the time to remind me and Milla to "worry" about the unia......you assume that we aren't worried but then the whole problem is in the assuming.

It is this little word that explains much of the ills of the Orthodox world. We assume ....we assume what someone is saying, what someone is thinking and we assume the meaning of anothers actions. Would that we would apply such a stringent rule to ourselves.

Father....In American English there is a saying about the word assume...we break the word into three small words that carry a world of meaning. The saying is ....

When you assume, you make an (ass)-of-yo(u)-and-(me).

'nough said....Katya

Such ridiculousness! all because of power, greed and money!

Shame on us all!

Money! I do not think it is a cost effective operation creating his own church... Power? It seems that the people in world orthodoxy have more power : they are received in all places, take part in cocktails, receive money from the State... etc Look yesterday, everybody boycotting ROCOR and now everyvody receiving them. Just for power, greed and money... It works in all senses

Only God knows... what is in the heart... Sometimes good intentions but very bad-conducted etc...

So I will refrain from further commentaries...

June 23, Archbishop Anthony (Orloff) issued an Ukaz where he says that “he counts this his duty to take the temporary ruling of the ROCOR” because of the poor condition of Met Vitaly “who is not able sometimes even to recognize his Deputy and bishops”, because of the “inconsistent and false Ukazes canceling the previous Ukazes signed by the First Hierarch”

These same things were said about the former Metropolitan Vitaly by ROCOR. The difference now is, ROCOR did not try to use the Metropolitan's poor health for its own aims like ROCie has done since day one. Maybe now those who didn't believe will start to see this fact.

In 2000 or 1999, there was a medical examination attesting Metropolitan Vitaly was phisically and mentally able "to run the business"... This is the only neutral source we have. The other ones may be biased... For instance haow could we believe ROCOR-L who used fake documents and tried an abduction (the abductor is now bishop :o )

Looks like the situation has sorted itself out

11/24 July 2006

ADDRESS
To all the faithful archpastors, pastors and laymen of ROCOR

We hereby inform you that the recent turmoil in our Church has
culminated in an unprecendented act by Abp Anthony Orloff.

By his own Ukaze of July 10/23, 2006, he dared place himself in the
position of the head of administration of ROCOR because of the
alleged incapacity of the First Hierarch. He also deemed it his
right to make this kind of statement without a conciliar (soborny)
resolution of the Church, thinking he could do it "by the power
granted me of God".

I call upon all the faithful children of ROCOR to denounce the
mutinous deed by Abp Anthony, as well as all the subsequent ukazes
that may eventually be issued by him, as foreign to the Church of
Christ.

Shortly, a proper conciliar resolution will be taken in regard of
the schismatic archbishop and his accomplices.

M. Vitaly,
First Hierarch of ROCOR
