Irenaios Falls Foul of Arabs Too

If what is being said about Irenaios is true, it is very sad. However, I am suspicious about the real origin of these stories.

Something just doesn't ring true about Israel considering conversions to Orthodox Christianity as a means of sneaking people in through the back door. Even secular Jews, let alone the religious zealots, have a deep aversion to Christianity. Indeed, Christians do not in fact have freedom of religion in Israel proper (something not well known in the west.)

One suspicion I have is that this is disinformation, and as usual, the Arab leaders have taken it hook, line, and sinker.

Of course, only time will tell.
