Then I have to wonder...

Post by Seraphim Reeves »

They go to church at midnight for Christ's birth and then do not go to church at midnight for Pascha/Easter.

Then I have to wonder just where I was all of those times I went to the Easter Vigil services in a Catholic Church.

Yes, the Latins have an Easter Vigil, in addition to a different liturgy used later on Sunday morning.

I live right near a Catholic church(in my backyard) and I don't see any cars over there for Easter vigil, only for Easter morning.

There is an Easter Vigil that the Latins Celebrate. Some of the great chants from it are the only things I miss from my Latin days...I believe this is pre-schism is truly a part of the Orthodox Tradition http://praiseofglory.com/exultet.htm

Some RC churches do it, some do not.
