Knight in dark armor Aristomenis leapt again today to defend the doyenne of Fordham's stable of "scholars", Sarah Riccardi.

He wrote :

"What’s astounding is how online engagement, such as this very post, continues to provide data that affirms Prof. RiccardiSwartz‘s groundbreaking contributions to the fields of anthropology and religious studies"

To this facile statement one opponent quickly retorted. He summed up the inappropriateness of Sarah Riccardi's approach in a nutshell :

Jovan : The fact that you laud using anthropology to “study” Orthodox Christianity is in large measure the reason you and the other Fordhamites fail to understand the converts you condemn. We “dangerous Fundies” approach Orthodoxy from Tradition and Scripture, not from a survey course."

Speaking with regard to Sarah's participation in a Pittsburgh panel discussion April 19, 2024 on the RIDICULOUS subject of "Why is Eastern Orthodoxy attracting so many men ?", Aristomenis attempted to champion his fair damsel :

"The indomitable (and very smart) Sarah RiccardiSwartz is the person most feared by fundamentalist-style converts to Orthodox Christianity, whose disturbing activities she continues to uncover with penetrating analysis"

While yesterday's RNA [Religion News Association] panel was
described breathlessly by several of Sarah's supporters as "spicy" or "spicy conversation !", it looks merely pedestrian :
