Catching this much later.

I hope the Lesna Icon Feast Day went REALLY well !

And the ordination of Fr Gregory. Wonderful news ! I didn't realize there IS a parish in Barcelona. Terrific !

Are there any photos yet ?

And most of all I hope Mother Evfrosinia's health has bounced back and the heart condition has evaporated. By itself,
through Heavenly Help, so no doctor's bills needed.

Cayenne is good to take for the heart, by the way....

That is, CAYENNE in a tincture form, which must be put into hot tea to
get rid of the preservative alcohol.
Otherwise that alcohol can adversely affect anyone.

There are NON-alcohol formulas. But they are NOT as strong or useful.
I will post an article soon on this subject in Miscellaneous, as Cayenne can help ALL the
True Orthodox and Traditional Orthodox who support us but maybe can't speak out directly [I am sure there
are many, many who may read this site. At least, I hope so ].

Meanwhile, I hope that the Furnace drive is back underway and garners enough funds and quickly !

Dear Barbara,
I've only caught this today. The furnace drive is going very, very slowly. The True Orthodox are not the richest nor the best organized crowd :) , and we don't expect to be able to do this quickly. Right now we're preparing for our Christmas bazaar, taking place in Paris on December 8th, and that's one of the reasons that I haven't been posting anything, there's really a lot to prepare. We should be able to put aside part of the proceeds towards a new furnace. The Lord has been good to us, and it's been a mild autumn, so we're doing a bit better financially than we have in some time. Please pray for us, friends!

That's tomorrow [actually, already today in Europe !].

Best WISHES for the success of the Lesna Christmas Bazaar!
Any of our readers in the Paris area should see if they could patronize it to help out the eminently worthy nuns.

Glad that the autumn was not bad and hope that the winter follows suit !
Hence no heating bill this year til the new furnace is installed !

In my suburb, a heating company was asking for suggestions of whom to donate one free furnace
this December.
I could write down "Lesna Convent, Provement, Normandie, France" and submit the idea...
I think they mean local residents, though.

Well it's a thought : maybe some French heating firm might do that
It gives them newsworthiness and thereby promotes their business, so it's good for the heating company, too,
to be seen to be charitable and proactive in reaching out to the community.

Sounds like a winner, Barbara!

I hope it WILL be one for them, Maria !

That certainly would save them a lot of trouble painstakingly raising euro by euro the amount needed.
Plus the company could offer the installation as part of their promotion. THAT IS expensive, too.
Not just the cost of the unit, but the labor to install, especially if replacing a much older model.

UPDATE from Mother Elisabeth Evfrosinia (facebook account)

The nuns are in dire need of a new furnace. Their old one no longer works.

URGENT! PLEASE HELP!
Our main furnace burst and caught fire tonight. We will have to replace it. We've been trying for some time to get all the funds together, but a new furnace costs 12 000 euros at the very least, and we haven't been able to pull all the money together. If you can donate even the tiniest amount the sisters will be very grateful. Please send in the names of your loved ones for commemoration. You can donate via Paypal: lesna@orange.fr

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.
