I don't see this as sad news. We now have a new heavenly intercessor. She is now more powerful than you can imagine.

In charity, we are to pray for monastics, laity, and clergy as soon as we learn that they have fallen asleep in the Lord. We do not believe as do some Protestant Evangelicals that if we believe in the Lord, that we are guaranteed salvation. We cannot be so presumptuous.

Soon, hopefully, we will get some more details about her life including some miraculous interventions. However, we should not rush to venerate her as a saint, when she might desperately need our prayers during these 40 days.
