OCA Cathedral in NYC hosts ecumenical event with pagans

• Buddhists, Protestants, Catholics, Eastern Orthodox Christians and Hindus congregated that night at the Orthodox Cathedral of the Holy Virgin Protection on E. Second St. to exhibit the sounds of their faiths, as well as tolerance for all people. Local Muslims had to cancel at the last moment, but 11 other ensembles performed music from persuasions as diverse as the Bhakti Center — Hare Krishnas — to The Catholic Worker with The Filthy Rotten System Band.

The Cathedral did drape the altar, but icon were still visible on the sides of the Church.
How can they stoop this low and sing pagan mantras?

Anything in the name of ecumenism is acceptable in the OCA. Interacting with other groups helps them feel more "legitimate" and recognized. Truly horrible.

Thank you, seekermark. That is a good insight. I wouldn't have known that the OCA is STILL SO insecure, even after
44 years of their tomos of "autocephaly". I guess they know deep down it was all very, very wrong what they did,
abandoning Rocor to rush into the MP's crab-like clutches [once that crab claw grabs on, it doesn't let go !].

This is truly the worst of these ecumenical events I have seen. [So far...]

"The Catholic Worker" - ? That is a leftist organization. And the other name of the band is so impure-sounding.

All the participanting performers are sheer phonies, seeming to be interested in showing off rather than worshipping God and/or caring about the welfare of their neighbor.

Whenever pagans or heretics pray in an Orthodox Church or Cathedral, it becomes defiled, so that temple needs to be reconsecrated.

There are prayers in the Book of Needs to reconsecrate an church that has been defiled.

Does anyone here remember a few years back in Russia where an Orthodox Priest celebrated a same-sex union?
The church was burned down to the ground, and a new one reconstructed on the site.
