What is schism?
Behold the answer-
Schism is a verb, therefore it is an act, not a belief or teaching or attitude or scandal or anything immaterial. It is the act of leaving.
Therefore- it would seem all schismatics are those who, down through time, have physically been the ones to actually leave and sever communion with others, all pretexts to justifications aside.
