St John of Tobolsk (1651 - 1715) pictured with his Cathedral in the Kremlin of the former capital of Siberia.

Finally, this famous treatise by the ancestor of our era's St John Maximovitch is appearing in English. It has now been translated by Nicholas Kotar [ son of Archpriest Sergei Kotar of Holy Virgin Cathedral in SF ].

I had always wanted to read this famous work known also by its Latin title Heliotropion -- sometimes written as Heliotropium.

This classic will appear in just a few days, published by Holy Trinity Publications, Jordanville. Why not buy from the Monastery publishers rather than from Amazon, which will give the publisher only a little proportion of the sale price - ?

Just to preview, though, here is the link from the latter :

Anybody who reads The Sunflower before I do, please post a review here.
