I love Fr. Elias! You know, most of the non-commemorator Zealot monks on Mt. Athos are hermits and cave-dwellers. In fact, most of the hermits and cave-dwellers on Mt. Athos are Zealots (which make up 50% of the monastic population of the Holy Mountain, I might add). Because of their isolated life, they simply commemorate "all right-believing Orthodox bishops." Apparently, this is how it has always been, from the beginning of the Old Calendarist movement. I think it is very appropriate to see Fr. Elias in the same light.

This situation is totally different than some squirrelly little home-grown scenario where someone is playing church in their living room and calling themselves Orthodox.

He certainly doesnt beat around the bush in his essays does he?? lol

I'd love to go and visit him sometime... I also havent seen/ heard of him spouting large doese of unsubtantiated rumors, or being a card carrying member of a gossip mill....

Unfortunately, today he posted the following sad message:

After much prayer and thought, and by your prayers, it seems
clear to me that those who have been anathematized by the Church,
repeatedly, are anathema, that is amputated. and those who pray
with the excommunicate, are themselves excommunicate.
To answer your direct question, there are quite a few True
Orthodox Metropolitans, but the interior quarrels of Russians, or
the internal quarrels of Greeks (which sometimes seem genetic)
are not for me. I have adhered once and for all to Archbishop
John of New York and Eastern America (Milan Synod). One might say
that I am the rump of the True Orthodox Church of Antioch. Who
else will support such a difficult mission. The canonicity of the
Synod of Milan seems unquestionable to me. Every sin can be
forgiven except the Sin against the Holy Spirit, which is heresy.
Freemasonry, Ecumenism, Modernism, . . . every patriarchate is
involved, and fallen under anathema. The True Orthodox Church is
the True Orthodox Church.

Hieromonk Eliyah

As such, I will be removing him from the map, where he was listed under the ROCiE-V.

Fr.Elia wasnt officially in the Rocie anyway, so the map stating his skete as an official Rocie skete was incorrect anyway...

Well, since we do not list churches with a Cyprianite ecclesiology, he could not be listed, as the Milan Synod holds this ecclesiology. I was yold by other ROCiE Clergy in the past that he was a member of ROCiE, and while it was not clear for a while if he still was or not, I waited until I had confirmation before removing him.
