The main complaint against the JW in Russia was not that they are practicing, per se; but rather that the JW ideology is against the family and traditional family values.

The Soviet Union taught the destruction of the family unit, therefore I am arguing against your assertion that Russia banning the JW is reminiscent of the SU, when the motive for the ban, is, in actuality, the complete opposite of Bolshevik ideology.
