I was given a blessing to do Reader's services for now in my home although I am trying to work out a way to get to the Mission parish in CO. I am also trying to find a way to learn the 8 Liturgical tomes so that while doing the Typpika I do not have to plainchant the whole thing and can actually do the service as it was meant to be done (at least in part).
My understanding is that Typica is meant to be 'read', (I suppose this is what you mean by 'plain chant'.), just like the other hours and is done this way when the Royal Hours are done before some major feast days. So don't feel too badly to do it that way.

I was taught to replace "Father Bless" with "Lord Bless". And then "Through the prayers of......" Or are you saying to omit it all together?
