Bells and crosses on the cupolas of the Cathedral of the All the Saints Who Shone Forth in the Land of Russia of the Gorny Convent in Jerusalem are blessed
Head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem Archimandrite Elisey blessed the bells and crosses for the Cathedral of All the Saints Who Shown Forth in the Land of Russia currently under reconstruction in the Gorny Convent.
The event was timed to the commemoration day of the Icon of the Mother of God called ‘The Unexpected Joy.’
Praying at the divine service were sisters and parishioners of the convents, laborers and volunteers who help restore the church, thus showing the beauty of the Russian church architecture.
The bells were lifted to the bell-tower and installed there, and the cupolas were crowned with gilded crosses. After that the melodious Russian chimes resounded in the vicinity of Ain-Karem, the Gospel hill country.
