Biblical Literacy?

Post by Justin Kissel »

What follows are a few questions to test how well one knows the Scriptures. Please do not post your answers or results! This is merely for each of us to use individually, and not as a way to compare ourselves to others. If we get some of the answers wrong, this doesn't mean we that we are completely biblically illiterate. And likewise, even if we know all the answers, this doesn't mean that we necessarily understand the Scriptures. The point of the post is to motivate us, to remind us that there are a lot of wonderfully precious things in the Scriptures that we should seek out constantly, just as we would seek for gold or diamonds. Each truth, and even each word, in the Scriptures are another gem in the treasure chest gifted to us; let us always strive to more accurately and more intimately know the contents of our treasure chest.

(Note: obviously looking up the answers would provide a learning experience; but trying to answer the questions without looking the answers up would perhaps be of more worth--the first time through at least)

I thank you for the scripture quiz, I found it challenging and found some weak points in my knowledge.
