Re: Agenda for a Future Pan-Orthodox Council

I am unaware of the GOC-K synodically rescinding the condemnation. Can you please direct me to where I can find it?

As far as the ROAC and RTOC condemnations being invalid, Cyprianism touched the whole Church and continues to do so. It is an assault on the unity of the Church. It needs to be dealt ...

Re: Agenda for a Future Pan-Orthodox Council

And why do you not list Cyprianism? Regardless of the current assessment that it never was a heresy, the fact remains that it was condemned as such by multiple synods, including the one that came into union with it. Without a clear repudiation of Cyprianism, any future Pan-Orthodox Council will be a ...

Re: Agenda for a Future Pan-Orthodox Council

Charlemagne? Leif Erikson? I'm baffled. It's been over 30 years since I studied Charlemagne, but I'm confident that he was no Orthodox saint. Why Charlemagne?

Suffice it to say I have had a long run of dubious encounters with clergy from different jurisdictions. One priest, when discussing the problem of Cyprianism, patristically observed that my "trust ...

Re: The New Holy Mountain Fathers

Right. I don't accept the monk's simplistic report nor his implication that Esphigmenou is fallen. I am sure that the statement is nuanced.

I am hoping someone has the statement. This is important. The last bastion of Orthodoxy on the Holy Mountain is being discredited.

I was chrismated from ...

Re: The New Holy Mountain Fathers

A friend of mine was told recently by a GOC-K monk in Greece that Esphigmenou has declared that all who have received a covid vaccination will be damned. Does anyone have information about this? I find this to be suspect myself. It appears they are trying to paint Esphigmenou as fallen heretics. I ...
