I'm actually surprised Mark Arndt is against the war, considering he has glorified this Communist "Martyr" Aleksandr Schmorrel and to my knowledge, still refuses to recognize the Royal Martyrs as Martyrs (in the 1980s after the glorification Royal Martyrs by the ROCOR he refused to do so anyway). He's always been very politically "on the left" as well. I would have thought he'd be completely for the Sovok and Silovik clique that has launched this genocidal war.

I will also add that I do realize Met. Mark was part of an anti-communist organization and that was the reason why he was arrested (and subsequently released) in Moscow in 1982, but I think his opposition to communism was always a purely political one and not a spiritual one, from what people who knew him at the time have told me.

Met Mark was a member of NTS, to be specific.
That group started out SO well intentioned.

BUT - it was FULL of Soviet agents who easily got into it, causing the deaths of many members in the Soviet Union and in Europe.

I'm not sure I understand though. We're saying Mark was anti-communist politically, but not enough to support the glorification of the Royal Martyrs [anniversary coming in 2 days]

I don't know Metropolitan Marks ancestry, I do know that most Rocor Bishops trace their lineage back to the Ukraine not Russia. Metropolitan Hilarion and Metropolitan Nicholas are specifically
