Obesity and the Temple of the Holy Spirit

Post by Nektarios »

I was thinking about this alot, Since we believe our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and we must take care of it. I was thinking that
isnt being an Orthodox Christian and being Obeist and not taking care of yourself a sin?

I started to think of this because, I am reallly into the "health & Bodybuilding scene" as well as living a Orthodox Life, and my girlfriend
says that I obsess about my physical look and health, and I just think of it as taking care of the Holy Spirits house.

What do you guys think?

Yes, but the opposite extreme of becoming overly obsessed with body image, body building etc, is also a sin IMHO.
