Metropolitan Anthony's book, Confession, is so nice.

I really love it.

Then the former Deacon Nikolai, founder of this site, had posted lengthy, edifying essays I started to look through.

Yes, Dcn Nikolai. I sent him an invitation to return to us in a private email, on this site, but later learned that he did not respond because he has become a New Calendarist. Can you believe it? God have mercy. So much knowledge, so much accountability, and still he turned from the Truth for a false imitation of the authentic Orthodox Church.

Does his avatar show a man and a woman wearing red?

If so, I have seen him posting at orthodoxchrisitianity.net. His faith identification confused me, but now I understand.
With all the nastiness and ecumenism going on in the World Orthodox Synods since 1998, especially within GOARCH, the Antiochians, and the OCA, I went the other way: from World Orthodoxy to True Orthodoxy.

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.

It's really a marvel, Maria, thank God that you followed your heart which must have led you the RIGHT WAY.

Oh so THAT"s what happened ! I was trying to read the Spanish discussion about him but got stuck with a bad google translator
that day.

Which New Calendar jurisdiction, a Russian or Greek ?
I am surprised he is still Orthodox, seeing that flashy avatar !

Wonder what changed him.

I don't know about his avatar on other sites. I only use this one.
Who knows what made him do it...oh, I know, the spirit of antichrist and the deceit of passions (love of comfort and an aversion for carrying the cross) and demonic influence. What else?

The temptation for TOC beleivers is this, "Come down from the cross and save yourself!" The same thing they shouted at Christ as he hung there. It is truly a battle and a cross constantly to be in the TOC.

^ Truer words were never said regarding the Attack on Serbian True Orthodox Hieromonk Maxim 2 days ago.

Yes a demonic spirit took over, clearly, it's evident in the pic....
