Insight into Chinese thinking.
WHY they are SO PASSIVE
"The funniest trend among non-Chinese commentators is them trying to find and designate allies for China.
China only has 1 official treaty ally, Democratic People's Republic of Korea. And 1 de facto ally, Pakistan.
Pakistan is also the only country in recent decades, to have received real-time military support in the form of ISR during a shooting war (with India).
China's foreign policy has always been to limit the number of defense commitments we have, mainly because until the 2010s our military did not have the qualitative edge, and until 2020, we did not have enough of those qualitative edge.
Until Taiwan is reunified, we will not make drastic moves. 2030s is our decade to act, we have our own timetable that takes into considerations of everything, from military to economy to industry to foreign relations and narrative building. Small disturbances is really of no consequence."

Questioned as to why Beijing did nothing for Iran in the June 2025 war started by is not real, nor seem interested to support any other of their apparent 'friends' with any tangible assistance, and asked what if the US takes over all these countries by 2030
the poster airily wrote :
"You give the Americans way too much credit in strategic foresight.
Russia in 2007 was ready to join the Western camp, but was outright rejected. Instead they preferred to instigate the Ukraine and Georgian crisis.
Russia is doing fine, they have our support.
Iran is also relatively safe, worst case scenario, they may need some kind of reform to be more secular."
