First, we should remember that the Jews were the chosen people, but in Christ the Church was not a specific people, but the Church is the new Israel. In Christ there is neither Jew nor Greek. It is the fallacy om many Protestant faiths that the Jews still are the chosen people and thus they find themselves being Zionists fighting for the physical state of Israel rather than the new Israel of Christ's Church.
This policy has lead in to our government, which if you want to call it Christian, is clearly Protestant. Today the U.S.A. vetoed a measure in the U.N. asking Israel to stop making land-grabs in Palestinian-controlled Gaza. This will, unfortunately only unite the Militant Muslims against us supporting the secular worldly Israel which is against out own national interests.
As to the story that was brought up by Brendan, many stories like this have been brought up and posted here, one, I believe was even postd by Natasha. However instead of blaming the Jews, we should look and see that children are being taught to celebrate mroe than Jewish festivals, but Islamic festivals, Hindu festivals, etc. This is an attack on Christians by an anti-Christian, post-Christian, liberal structure, not just one group which is 1% or less of our nation. Christians have been persecuted for 2,000 years and it is not going to stop. We should expect this and learn to be "not of this world".
