Dear Nadir,

You have stated that you have come here to "learn how you define yourself as an Orthodox Christian or how you understand Orthodoxy and its history, from the apostolic time to the present day."

However, in your newest thread on The Jewish People, you seem to be interested only in teaching us about Jews as you understand them, and when we ask you for clarification on the views of St. John Chyrsostom, you refuse to do so stating that it would be off topic. In fact, that thread, instead of being a thread for all of us, has become a sounding board for your point of view only. Anything else, you have labeled "off-topic." Correct me, if I am mistaken, but that is how I perceive this situation.

I would like to see more of your thoughts on Catholicism and why you have come here in the first place. Have you come here to lecture us about The Jewish People, or have you come here to learn about Orthodoxy?

In Christ,
Maria

Maria,

Can you show me where I refused to comment on the views of St. John Chyrsostom? And where I stated to do so would be off topic? I do not think I did, actually. Moreover, I sent you an email this morning telling you my problem in trying to answer the questions some of the readers asked me and my attempts failing.

Maranatha,

Nadir

P.S. I should add, or rather repeat, what I wrote yesterday,

I omitted to say then that my main reason of my disenchantment and alienation with the conciliar Novus Ordo church is its betrayal of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The betrayal consists, in particular, in going over to the true Catholic Church’s perennial enemy, namely, the Synagogue of the self-style Jews, this since Vatican II. Thus, the readers of this post will understand now, why I joined this forum and the rationale of my writing here.

So Jesus was saying to those Ιουδαιους [Judeans] who had believed Him, "If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."

So Nadir, you joined a True Orthodox forum to defend the heretical Roman Catholic Church from its perennial enemy, the Jews?
Don't you realize that Roman Catholics are the perennial enemies of the Orthodox? But, we love our enemies as commanded by Our Saviour.

Lydia,

You should read what I said and not what you imagine it to say. In other words, your reading is incorrect.

Maria,

You made your point. The problem with this thread is that no one, and I repeat, no one came up with any solid argument to debate what I have been presenting. What the opposition came up with so far is merely a sort of smear campaign against me and against the authors of the documentation I have presented.
Had it be shown that what I made public here was false then we would have had, at least, an exchange of ideas and not a one-way dialogue as it apparently became, because of a lack of evidence against my documentation.

Thank you, Nadir.

I have been trying to encourage an intelligent discussion or debate here, but modding this forum takes time, and I cannot possibly post responses to everything I read here especially with the active membership base we now have. Besides that would defeat the purpose of this board.

Members should not look upon Dr. Jonathan Gress or me for all their answers. We are trying to facilitate discussion, and have our real life work to do also. Joanna and Symeon have given some of the best answers to date.

Yes, I would like to see members here engage you in discussion so that we can all profit.

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.

But, you're not even listening to the responses. For example, mine. I told you that you have to understand the days of that time when the saints said what they did in the way they said it. And I told you that God would never allow them to be saints if they had hatred in their heart. So the arguments that they were against them is wrong. And again, I will repeat that what we analyse in our times can't possibly understand what they were going through in their times. For example, look at the times of after Jesus Christ's Resurrection when St. Paul was telling the slaves to be honorable with their masters. In that time, the issue of slavery was not a problem, but in our times we find it appalling. Can you at least grasp what I am trying to say? Please open your heart to other possible answers.

But, what it comes down to is what are you looking for? What is that ultimate question that is buried deep in your heart? I think that's what's making you so restless. And by the way, I'm not "opposition". I'm living in my reality and you decided to come into it, in this Forum. This is our world of Orthodoxy here. So, when you come into another realm of existence, you become your own opposition because you can't relate to the way we live. So, if you really want to learn anything about Orthodoxy then you have to open yourself up to the answers you get.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. (Ps. 50)
