People are honing in further in the context of the now-pretty-much finished attempts at destabilizing the Iranian Govt that Reza Pahlavi DOES HAVE an aimless existence.

In contrast,

"Iran's current president is a multilingual professor of cardiothoracic surgery who still does surgeries.

Outside of his [Reza Pahlavi's] father - what are his credentials?"

Answer : ABSOLUTELY ZERO !

Instead of outsiders talking endlessly and often stupidly about what they don't know, here is a nice young Iranian woman speaking candidly :

Nice visual depiction of what daily life may have been like in the earliest Persian dynasty, the Achaemenid one

"Images depict bas-reliefs, originally painted, from the ancient city of Persepolis ...

dating back 2,300 to 2,500 years ...

it is the capital of the Achaemenid PERSIAN Empire.

Symbolism, to display vast diversity and unity under the king's rule.

I have heard some commentators claim that IF the government is toppled, it could be akin to the fall of the Berlin Wall. Let's hope that a secular gov comes if the current regime is toppled as currently, the citizens of Iran are rather secular and I have seen some surveys done by NGOs showing that only about 43% of the population self identifies as Muslim to some extent.

NO NO NO ! Secular ?? NEVER !
It's too complicated to go into yet, but I'll try to write more.

Don't even MENTION that prospect of the Iranian govt being gone. Probably people have seen the bombastic post of one US official taunting that the Isl. Republic has been there for 47 years and since this cretin is the 47th "president", i.e., puppet, so...

But God loves religious people everywhere, not secular ones !
It is hard for Americans to understand the Iranian govt OR Iranians. But the fact is that many more than 43 % would call themselves Muslim.

However, Iranians HAVE always been far more Westernized in outlook than some other Islamic nations. That's where some confusion gets in.
