I sent an e-mail to Ms Karamanou (the Greek MEP in favor of this) asking her about it back in September 03...... she never replied to my e-mail. And I'm pretty sure she can read English!

As for this garbage about "human rights" -- they matter as long as they go along with your definition of human rights. We have so much garbage that's stuffed down our throats in the secularized West, and it's all done in the name of "freedom" and "human rights."

I read somewhere that in traditional Orthodox cultures the entire concept of "human rights" as we know it didn't exist..... your job was to be a good Christian and that was that.

Some here, I never got a reply to my email to her. I didn't really expect her to.

Wasn't that a topic of dispute in an old thread? I thought I remember a subject like that before.....
