If you are Orthodox and pray the psalms and have heard the Holy Gospel, you know that laying traps with words is wicked; "Let the wicked fall into their own nets while I withal escape."

In the meantime you have wasted your entire Great Lent PASSIONATELY arguing some WORLDLY issue that has absolutely NOTHING with working out the salvation of your own soul. Instead of arguing this conspiracy theory, you could have been praying for the people you believe to be involved, reading the Fathers of the Church or even participating in other threads on Orthodox Patrisitics, Prayer, Praxis, Faith, Tradition, etc. Instead you have seemed almost wholly focused on this worldly issue instead. For the sake of your soul, I hope you change focus to it instead of the princes of this world and what they do and say.

Steel does melt at 2200 F and the fire is estimated to have been at most 1800F. However, steel deforms and looses much of its strength at temperatures around 800F - add to the fact that much of the structure on several floors was loosing its strength at the same time, and the total ENERGY (not heat - intensity) was high, it all adds up to failure.

Also, Aluminum (aircraft are made of Aluminium- remember the Sheffield?) burns at 4000F and it may have caught on fire itself - though an Aluminum fire was not observed through the thick smoke.

Also, the entire elevator shaft structure was ablaze - and the twin towers did not use a concrete core, but rather had a steel frame covered with dry wall. So you have a chimney 1/4 mile high.

The popular mechanics people are much more credible than those who are responding. Thou shalt not bear false witness!
