I can't edit my post, but one great resource on this is St. John of Damascus. He referred to Islam as a heresy. So did St. Nikon of Salamis. I could talk about Sufism and such but the Saints actually highlight where and how Islam took from Christianity and how it spawned out of it. I might post the resources since the Saints can speak better than my own ramblings on the subject.

I noticed that we can only edit the most recent post in each thread. Isn't that intentional?

I thought perhaps you can't edit a post if it's been quoted. But I see that isn't the case.
