For what it's worth...

Post by Seraphim Reeves »

For what it's worth, I'll pray for you and your wife, Justin.

I concur with the other poster who advised your wife should stay away from fatty foods. My father had his gal blatter removed when I was a child, and greasy food is a no-no, both now and after the gal bladder is removed (though I've heard they don't always remove them nowdays; there are ways to dissolve the stones without removing the gal bladder itself.) To this day, my father doesn't do too well eating things like this.

Update

Post by Mary Kissel »

Just thought I'd update everyone on how I'm doing and what the Doctors said bout me. I will be getting my gall bladder removed...they will be doing it by making four small holes in me and removing the gall bladder that way.. I dont know the name for that... but I do know I will be asleep during the procedure and that they will only maybe use a few stitches and maybe a bandaid or two to cover things up. I had also went to my Cardiologist (because I needed clearance from him before they could go ahead with it) and it seems like my heart is strong enough to handle the surgery. I will need prayers still... especially because I need to be off my Coumadin which is a blood thinner in order to have the surgery on me...they will let me know when that will be though...We'll let you know when the date is for my gall bladder to be removed. Thankyou again to everyone!

I've been feeling fine.... just some pains everynow and then when I eat but after I take tylenol... it gets better...sometimes i feel better even after i get up from a lil nap. Thankyou for all your prayers...I'll let you know when I get my gall bladder removed!

Praying for you

Post by Seraphim Reeves »

Health problems can be a heavy burden, particularly ones that become endemic. I'm familiar with the latter. It stinks. However, I try to be resigned to it (with some success). The only consolation I have, is that this life is short, and the ills of the body (no matter how serious) are relatively speaking, brief and temporary. It's hard to keep that perspective sometimes.

I'll pray for you.

Seraphim
