It truly is a great travesty. One could discuss the evils of abortion on different scales for weeks on end.

I suppose my objection is not so-much the icon really, we have seen many bad icons before, even Western style icons are not proper.

I suppose my problem really boils down to seeing more and more "orthodox" (whatever the word Orthodox means to you) falling for this Latin style social-gospel. Yes social evils should be objected to, but to "mobilize" your religion around an issue to the point you are telling your faithful how to vote, where to march, "icons" are painted, ect. is more than just a distraction to what we are really called to do - which is worry about our own salvation!

My question is- would anyone feel comfortable veneratingthis icon? Personally, it would just kind of freak me out.
