No. That is untrue. Many priests would tell you that this is what Typica and other Reader's services at home are for and not to sell out to modernism and ecumenism.

Then those Priests are dividers and do not practice what Christ preached.
The Liturgy is still the same. You can attend the Liturgy and NOT particiapte in the "modern" things, such as using the pews. You think Christ cares if you attended a Liturgy where there were pews or an organ might be used? Those are simply inconsequential externals!
CHRIST WAS NOT A PHARISEE!!!

vasili,
Some people move for better pay, because they were transfered, because they joined the military, for health reasons, to be with a loved one, because of the cost of living, because of better weather, because of tax laws, for a better life, because they were forced to by war or pestilence, in fact I recently heard of someone moving to Vale so they could ski all year. Some people move so they can moor their boat in the back yard, so they can get away from the cities, so they can be in the city, because their children moved, because someone built a factory next door, because their house burnt down (this happened recently to my brother in-law), because of divorce, because of marriage, and some people move just because they are tired of their surroundings.
I would be afraid myself of not having a true spiritual hospital nearby I would eventually loose my way. What a frightening thought.
And have you ever observed a sportsman? You will notice the care a golf player takes with each shot. He studies the terrain checking grade and the condition of the grass. He has instruments to measure distances and wears special shoes, weird hats and goofy clothes. And he has a special club for every occasion - towels, extra balls, extra tees. There is nothing, absolutley nothing that is forgotten. Everything must be just so.
I would be frightened to be in any spiritual environment that wasn't taking the same kind of care and zeal.

That seems quite unlikely. (Not calling you a liar of course) Could you please name your source?
Ive talked to him before. It shocked me. He said he was not like most of the ROAC priest. He was a Ukrainian Orthodox Seminarian who came into the ROAC.
