Quick question, who would be doing the afternoon liturgies? The Uniates? For Orthodox Divine Liturgies (with the exception of Vesperal Liturgies I believe) are not allowed after noon.

Are they sharing the same altar and/or eucharist?

Nicholas,
I have been to Pre-Sanctified liturgies that took place after 12:00 PM. I'm not sure if there is a time limit for regular liturgies.

I think Pre-sanctified are technically considered vesperal Liturgies.

Justin,

We aren't talking about ecumenism, my friend. We're talking about taking positive steps to do something about a problem we recognize, instead of talking about how bad it is from behind a computer screen. We are all guilty of this at certain times, but we must try and act, instead of just talk.

As far as pointing out errors, fine, do it--but do something about it, too.

Well here's the problem, Anastasios, if and when I do something about it, I'm not going to come on and tell you (ie. brag) "guess what I just did!?". So... I agree with you that we need to do and not just talk. Just please make sure that you are speaking generally, and not assume that we aren't doing things already because we aren't talking about them. :)

In this particular case, however, I believe there is more going on here than "sharing a space". What part can those outside the Church have with God's people? A small (hushed up), but increasingly larger, one in the middle east, from what I've heard (I'm not just speaking of the anti-Chalcedonians). If I were a betting man I'd bet money that Catholics will be partaking of the Orthodox commuion at that Church within 10 years. It already happens (with both Catholics and anti-Chalcedonians), so why would we expect this Church to be different? And what will happen to the Orthodox who go to that Church? I'd rather have them fed with the bread of life and die in the Church, than be fed with the bread of death and live, outside the Church.
