Good, OK, same idea here.

Press Tv is the ONLY outlet one can count on to deliver truth anymore.
I don't trust RT at all. I never listen to them.

Press TV gives a succinct summary of the information so that anyone in any country can grasp
the essentials, and is remarkably UNbiased.

There are too many attempts of Zionist-type media outlets to defame Press Tv.
It's because Press Tv has the best coverage and the most accurate.
The big Western news agencies don't want anyone to learn that truth which flies in the face
of everything they want to push over on ignorant viewers.

I am glad you are sharp, Fr Augustine ! I thought your angle was the opposite, so that's why
I launched into that.

Gordon Duff is a much-published expert at Press Tv, as I am sure you know, and the article
by him above came from there.

So, we agree !

It doesn't mean every last word of every expert who writes analytical pieces for Press Tv OR
Veterans Today is completely right.
Some of the Veterans Today writers are way off. Like the leftist making wild claims that
the Shah stole many billions out of Iran in collusion with the Rockefellers or NWO-ites.
I believe he was not a partner with them and hence was tossed out because he wouldn't cooperate.
At least not to the extent that the bankers wanted...

But for most part, VT has refreshing views by independent minds.

By the way, if one looks at Press Tv regularly, it will be noticed that there are congratulations for
Christmas, or Christian-related events. Iranians are NOT prejudiced, contrary to the mountains
of Western and Zionist propaganda. In fact, deeply
respectful of Christians and Christian Churches and holidays.
Even the [600th?] anniversary of St Basils in Moscow was covered.

Syrians are similar : urbane and tolerant. These are OLD civilizations who have wisdom.

It's the Wahhabi/ Salafi style groups which are so negative,
such as the FAKE one you mentioned. I can't believe many millions of "educated" Westerners swallowed the entire
MYTH of Al-Qaeda, including of course, the phony "killing" of its figurehead.

For a while, I was surprised at RT having all kinds of anti-globalist and anti-nwo patriot type folks on, and even shows hosted by them. I thought, "Well, this is funded by the Russian government, but, these are good programs." Though, it never sat quite right. I had an inkling of an idea that Joel Skousen fully developed; that is, RT was having certains folks on, in order, form the Russian governments perspective to agitate against prevailing US government policy, but, not because they necessarily had a fundamental moral objection. It was to try to hopefully just agitate and cause disturbance.

This, I thought, was a very interesting strategy. They would support and give people who are good on many issues a voice. But, they, then, later turned against all of them, and then began to propagate the anti-gun agenda, Tom Hartman, and all.

However, remember, if Press TV is funded by the Iranian gov there is going to be some angle, eve if you can't quite see it.

Could it be that the Iranian Govt. is against the powers that be who are in world leadership (G7)?
Since the Muslim Brotherhood is actually being blessed by those in world leadership,
this whole situation is very confusing. Perhaps this is deliberate.
Christians cannot trust the Muslim Brotherhood, and for good reasons.
Iran and Russia seem to support Syria against the Muslim terrorists who want to topple that government.
Is Russia really supporting Syria or just giving the appearance of doing so?

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.

First, regarding Fr Augustine's comment.

You know I barely watched one or two of the RT programs, so you really know the situation there.
Feel free to explain any more for those of us who don't know about RT's programming.

RT is anti-gun ? That's awful. I feel, too, in my bones that they are not trustworthy at all.

It's good you noticed that too. I was trying to think exactly why, however.

As I mentioned in the Cyrllic section earlier, Konstantin Preobrazhensky has been claiming for years that RT's chief is a KGB agent.
I am not positive that's all there is to the story.
Margarita Semonyan might be a double agent for BOTH the US AND Russia. Who knows ?

There IS a discernible taint at RT.

If we all can define it still better, I would feel some resolution to this longstanding nagging question as to why I don't like them.

It's educational for any outside readers, as well, who happen upon this thread.

The Press Tv programming has a wholesome innocence about it.

Of course, Press Tv has a strong message to convey. Mostly it's trying to
counterract the massive campaign claiming they are building nuclear weapons. In reality, it's of course Israel
who has the 400 nuclear bombs - which it won't let ANYONE see, no international inspectors, nobody.

So clearly Tel Aviv is diverting international attention from its own sins onto a state that few Westerners know much about.
Americans are programmed to believe THEIR media and never listen to other side of the story, which is that it's a question
of Iranian national honor to NOT back down just because bullied into it, and that Teheran wants the technology for
medical and energy purposes. NOt offensive warfare against anyone.

Iran is NOT an aggressive state militarily. It never attacks others with an army but tries to persuade by use of LOGIC and
verbal argument. That's part of Press Tv's function. I think it's a good idea to comment on any articles or opinion pieces
with which one agress or has learned something from. Give them some support for fighting the GIGANTIC MACHINE
of the NWO. It's not much, but it a little bit to do.
The comments there, by the way, are some of the most sophisticated I have seen. Some of the writers have a good sense
of humor, too, unlike the often dumb comments on Yahoo News pieces.

The main other agenda of Press Tv is to try to get opponents of the New World Order to overlook differences and stand up.
It's almost incredible that Saudi Arabia would be a passive tool of Israel AGAINST -theoretically - fellow Muslim state, Iran !
But this is the state of things. So Iran tirelessly works to smoothe over these hostilities from fellow Middle Easterners and
present a united front AGAINST Israel and - though Press Tv is subtle and doesn't spell it out - the Western bankers trying
to force Iran into their financial clutches.

For this reason their articles explain how many of the Sunni 'fundamentalist' groups are creations of the US and Mossad.
They don't say it outright always but hint that these are actual terror outfits sponsored by -- the West --
to undermine the independence of any country which stands up to the global bullies !

This ties into what Maria said about the Muslim Brotherhood.

Remember, though to not confuse Iran which is almost all Shia, with the Sunni Muslim Brotherhood.
No one has any credence in the Muslim Brotherhood ; it's been a tool of Western intelligence for a long time.
It has been co-opted by the Egyptian state for quite awhile, working with Al-Azhar, etc.
That's not the way it started out, which was anti=Communist, anti-secular, anti-Nasser, trying to bring
back religion to Egyptians who had been clapped under the Soviet Union's umbrella.

So this the other angle of Press Tv : to alert the world not to believe the Saudi Wahhabi propaganda against
Shias, whom the Wahhabi Saudis call "infidels" - meaning like pagans.

There isn't any other Shia state powerful enough to stand up against the billions of petrodollars of the Riyadh's machine.
That agenda is INTRA-Middle East. It doesn't impact Western readers too much.

Don't trust RT, and don't be surprised they are anti-gun.

When the Bolsheviks were besieging Moscow they were potentially outgunned by the population. So they appealed to gun owners not get involved with resistance and soon overcome the Cadets, who fought valiantly. Then gun owners were invited to bring in and register their weapons. Those that did were disarmed and summarily shot.

There are dissident commentators in Russia who feel Americans would be mad to accept gun control, bearing the above in mind.

Yes, Stanislav Mishin's article on this.

Oddly the link to the Pravda article appears to have gone down!
