I was reading about the Bulgarian Old Calendar Church, and at the very end of the article they said originally before the union, there was tension between the two synods. Could somebody explain to me why?

For now, I am locking this thread as it is improper to discuss these matters (intra-TOC disputes) in the open public forums.
