Beautiful Church, God willing I can visit Suzdal one day!

Yes, I hope you can travel there, Sava ! You would REALLY enjoy it. Suzdal is so calm and serene and actually rural. I went just by regular bus from Moscow, took awhile, but well worth the trip.
I remember this Church very well.
I have forgotten now, though - what HAS happened to it ? Is it still in the hands of ROAC ??
By the way when returning to Moscow, do not rely on finding public transport after 4 PM or so. Their system does not work like many countries where share taxis and minibuses ply the roads from early morning to late night. For some reason, there they stop running ! I almost got stuck.

Oh, good, I thought so.
I watched the video : the iconostasis is ornate. Probably this Church was never touched during the Communist era ? Or was this the result of the rebuilding effort by ROAC ?
But what are the duo of statues - looks like the same statue twice - beneath the main fresco ?
These can be seen in the video as it appears above frozen in place.
Appears to be the Queen of Heaven, but placed so unusually !
Can anyone explain ?
