Opinion veils the heart. Opinion says: "I know, and you do not." It minimizes our own fallibility and searches for the errors of others. It makes ourselves into competitors with each other and finally competitors with God, the only Knower. Opinion tends toward intellectual arrogance, an occupational disease of esotericists.
