Scientists in Oregon have created embryos with genes from one man and two women, using a provocative technique that could someday be used to prevent babies from inheriting certain rare incurable diseases.

This human experimentation discards the embryos that have been produced.
Two wrongs do not make it right.
Embryonic experimentation + Abortion (killing the embryos) = Sinful
What kind of monsters will be created in the future?

TERRIFYING !
It's too disgusting to even contemplate that question of Maria's.
I am glad i was raised in a relatively better era.
To think of having to go to school with some dreadful things like -- that --
[Quarantining it off already ]
It's good to be aware, though, so we know all the awful things to pray
be kept away from permanently !

As our scientific knowledge increases, so does our moral responsibility. As Maria said, two wrongs don't make a right.
Creating embryos for research and then discarding them is essentially no different than using live human subjects in biological and chemical warfare experiments, as the Japanese did in WWII, in which the subjects were frequently killed or maimed for life. Sure, you can find out many things about the human body, perhaps more than you could ever discover otherwise, but the pursuit of knowledge, even knowledge to heal as opposed to kill, can never trump the sanctity of human life.
