Praying Outdoors

Post by OrthodoxyOrDeath »

I was wondering, it is such a magnificent night tonight, does anyone ever go outdoors to pray? Such as in a yard or a balcony or in the woods?

This would be different than praying while outdoors.

No, I have never gone outside specificly to pray. Besides my prayers throughout the day, I usually do my prayers in one of my icon corners.

I don't think that God monds if you go out side to pray. If standing in the middle of his creation inspires you to pray then by all means do it. St Seraphim spent a 1000 days in the forest praying and God accepted his prayer. Why would he do any less for you or me? It's the prayer that counts and not the location where you are standing.
