You claim that in the past 10 years ROCOR has been moving on a steady path towards union with World Orthodoxy. If that is the case, then why as recently as 1994, did ROCOR enter into union with the True Orthodox Church of Greece under Met. Cyprian?
It seems to me that it would be more accurate to state that ROCOR has been branching out to multiple Orthodox Churches and the people doing the branching out are somewhat divided as to whom they are reaching out towards.

Please note that I do not subscribe to "Old Calendar Ecumenism" and believe that only the Synod of Archbishop Kallinikos is the canonical GOC of Greece. I do believe, however, that we can break down barriers and misunderstandings through prayer and discussion on forums such as this one.

I think the perspective is that they went from being in communion with the GOC, who do not recognize Grace in the ecumenist church, to going into communion with those who do.
I would have a hard time calling this a "branching out" (ie. reaching out) to different jurisdictions. Just as you commune with only a bishop who has the same faith as you, a synod does the same.
In light of this, it is a shift in views. After all, you would think that after our synod of the GOC broke communion with them, they would at least have given us a response to our inquiry as to why.
To say they are just reaching out to different groups by communing with them, is to really be saying, IMO, that they are reckless and irresponsible.
