I am assuming since it is a tradtional Byzantine church that it does not have pews, or at least I would hope so.

Lots of luck! It probably does have pews, despite drawings showing chairs. But it is so much like a mini- Saint Sophia that I must go see it.

As my sister says of the pews in my old home parish -"If you keep all the fasts, you'll be skinny enough to do full prostrations WITH pews". :P

yup, it's got pews :( Don't they realize they could fit alot more people in fit they just got rid of pews under the dome? It also has speakers which I personally don't like seeing either.

Hey Nic,
I think that one is just temporary. In this rendering there is one at least planed.

Oh good! I prefer a higher iconostasis and royal doors, but it looks like a beautiful interior in the rendering to match the exterior.

The only thing I don't like about the Icon screen is the arch over the royal doors and the curtain. They look a little big, at least in the drawings

That will be beautiful! I was getting a little nervous that it was part of their plan to leave it so plain inside.

And on a side note, why are speakers in a church ever necessary?
