I am planning on sometime down the road (hopefully sooner than later!) learning Russian. But to start off, could somebody please write me name (Nektarios) in the Russian form of it and how to pronounce it correctly.
Many thanks!

Peter,
Thanks!
Natasha,
In general I don't love any Orthodox Culture over another one (not to be confused with those hating all ethnic Orthodoxy in America). The parish parish that is three miles from my house is Greek and the closest monastery is VERY Greek (St. Anthony's), so deciding to first learn Greek was an issue of immediate practicality. If the closest parish to me had been Serbian, I would have started learning that...Russian, then Russian first etc. Since I am a convert I have no ethnic ties so it didn't really matter to me. But my major reason for wanting to learn Russian is that there is so much Orthodoxy that is in Russian that I don't want to be cut off from it because of linquistics.
My Grandpa from Poland (who BTW is fluent in Russian) had some not so good meetings with the Soviet Army. So he is of the thinking anything Russian = communist oppressors of Poland. So it is easier to say that I am "Greek" Orthodox to him - which he has no issues with. The rest of the Polish half of the family really couldn't care less.
And I could just tell my Grandpa I am in training to learn the language of the enemy
