I suppose it was- just adding some material to supplement what was previously written.
The trip went well... had a great time exploring Prague. I should have some pictures early next week if anyone is interested... I think I only took one or two of SS. Cyril and Methodius Church where St. Gorazd allowed the assasins to hide out in the Church's crypt. The crypt is now kind of a little museum with info on the nazi occupation of the Czech republic, the assasination of Heydrich, the leveling of whole Czech towns as a result of it, and the martyrdom of St. Gorazd. Anyway, more to follow...

Savva24, I didn't mean literal horsewhipping, & you know it. I just thought that in a way what the old Uki priest said, though a bit oversimplified, could be taken in much larger context. Fore example, look at what is going on in Kosovo right now, Orthodoxy is being repressed. Yesterday, it brought together the Serbs, Greeks,Antiochians, & the ROCOR parish of DC in raising money for Kosovo Serb refugees. (A benifit concert, with Crown Price Alexander of Serbia & Montenegro & his wife as guests of honor). If it wasn't for the horrible persecution going on there right now, I doubt we would have had such a large turn out to show support for our Serbian Orthodox bretheren.

OK I see what you are saying. I don't think I thought of an actual horse whipping after reading your post, I was thinking more along the lines of you implying that administrative force be used on schismatics or others unwilling to unify, something along the line of what Pat. Bart does to the monks who don't dig his ecumenistic compromises on Athos, but rather than throwing them out, forcing them in.

But I see that what you were talking about was ''suffering'' not force, as illustrated by your example of the present barbarian persecutions of the Orthodox in Kosovo bringing juristictions in America together.
