Nektarios,
Welcome Back!
BTW Do you do realize that he is not following the instructions of his Metropolitan? I forgot where it was posted but Philip declared that these things were not to be done by priests the Antiochian archdiocese in America.

Your mother bakes you a great big chocolate cake and serves it to you. But just when you are about to take a big bite, your little sister (or whom ever) informs you that your mother baked a terd in it. You of course give it back to your mother and refuse to eat it. But if she then dresses it up with more frosting and adds a few more sprinkles will you eat it then? Would you try to even take the smallest piece that didn't look compromised and eat it?
So what good is it that a priest dresses this way or that way when the fundementals are corrupt? What part of this can really be good?
I am sure there are some Uniate "priests" who have longer beards and more traditional icons than my Synod - but who is going to say, "Uniatism stinks", or rather, communion with heresy stinks "get over it"?
How about saying, a terd in a cake stinks "get over it"? How come we know whats good to eat and pleasing to our stomach but we don't see what is profitable spiritually? Perhaps it is to easy to "get over it" when it comes to spiritual things in the life (something we are all guilty of).
OOD is right; my soon to be former Uniate priest has a beard, riassa, wears a chotki, does monastic liturgies, took out the pews, etc etc etc...but he is still a papalist (I mean that in a narrow sense; he really does go hog wild trying to defend the papacy).

Please note that I do not subscribe to "Old Calendar Ecumenism" and believe that only the Synod of Archbishop Kallinikos is the canonical GOC of Greece. I do believe, however, that we can break down barriers and misunderstandings through prayer and discussion on forums such as this one.
