Lucian,

Continuing from my previous post (line of thought). It's not can I or WE "prove it". It's a matter of God inspiring, enlightening a person to realize the truth. If He so wills it. All of history is there to view, but no person can convince someone even with all the back up we have.

So.... who is the authority?? In essence, God is.

Sorry, for being difficult.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. (Ps. 50)

Yes, God is the ultimate authority, but He is going to hold me responsible for the choices I make.

And, since there are loads of folks out there claiming Him as their authority, and claiming that they are "inspired" or "enlightened" to "realize the truth," it is up to us individuals to decide for ourselves.
