God made it.

Just a little aside:

The Orthodox Theology is "apophatic," meaning stressing what is not known, rather than "kataphatic," which is emphasizing what is known.

I prefer this mystery over, say, Aquinas style scholastic attempts to explain the unexplainable. :)

There is an excellent lecture that Hieromonk Ambrose (Young), gave at one of the Pilgrimage Weekends at Holy Cross Monastery in WV, about creationism. No matter what your spin is, Fr. Ambrose makes some very important points in this lecture which I believe all Orthodox Christians should consider with the utmost seriousness.

BTW: As most of you will probably deduce, it is on an Armenian Monophysite webpage because the Armenians obviously liked Fr. Ambrose's lecture, and not because of any affiliation.

I'm sure Fr Ambrose is not with the Armenians, however he's no longer with the Hermitage of the Holy Cross and perhaps not even with ROCA. Does anyone know where he went?

I was searching on St Spyridon last night and happened to discover where Fr Steven Allen ended up (in Detroit). http://www.saint-spyridon.com/spyridonlife.htm. Can anyone tell me anything about this Holy Synod of Bishops of the Church of Genuine Orthodox Christians Bishop: Metropolitan Niphon of Piraeus

I know, this is all off-topic, but I didn't know where else to put it. Sorry.

pr Mark

Father Mark,

Father Steven Allen is a member of the Lamian (as they previously were called) GOC under Makarios of Athens. That is the Synod that OOD wrote about below that lifted the deposition of Auxentios and were trying for communion with HOCNA. They also are the Greek Church that Gregory of Colorado likes currently.
