In the north Ireland there was an armed struggle, the euphemistically named "troubles". Now there is 'peace'. People are exiled on the whim of armed bandits, so-called para-militaries run 'protection' and drug rackets. Percieved transgressors are subject to kangaroo courts and knee-capped or worse. But this is peace?
Michael 111, man is sinful and imperfect. Only One can bring about peace. And do we follow Him. No.
I fear your notion of peace is a delusion, a deception. Because you can rub 'north of Ireland' and substitute other locations where 'peace' has broken out and the reality is exactly what I have described above. Now it may be a little better than all out asymetric warfare but one thing it is not - peace.
Of course, the amount of monies spent by nation after nation on arms is obscene but chanting ditties and mantras ain't going to change anything. Conflict between peoples, communities and nations is an appalling phenomena and deserves a more mature and considered contribution surely?
