THE FEEDING OF THE 5000 & THE WALK TO EMMAUS

Hello Brothers and Sisters,

I have been asked to identify the ONE underlying similarity between these passages: the feeding of the 5000, found in John 6, Matt 14, Mark 6 and Luke 9 and also Luke 24 the Road to Emmaus...
IS the similarity that each passage celebrates the eucharist, the breaking of the bread, or is there another element i am missing...

That's what the Holy Fathers taught. It's the pre-figuration of the Eucharist. And it is also the witness of Christ as the Messiah.
