I didn't guess that my little apologia wouldn't go over well here :D To be honest, it was exaggeration mixed with humor mixed with firm convictions of mine. As anyone who knows me knows, I tend to be a stickler for referencing stuff, going to the point of putting academia-like footnotes in brackets into some posts... so suffice to say, this was meant to be something wholly different. Anyway, consider it and attempt at a heuristic essay, consider it schlock, consider it whatever you wish. Just don't consider it a precise outline of my current views. I was rash and over-reaching before towards the right, this post was the exact opposite of that (ie. rash and over-reaching towards the left). I know that some of the stuff I said was technically inaccurate (e.g., about factions in St. John's time... a better point might be to discuss how a Saint of our Church participated in one of his exiled). I guess if I had it to do over again I would have edited it before I posted it. That being said, I think some of the thoughts aren't wholly without merit. Not totally.
