Iconophili's Great Big Thread of Conspiracies!

The resting place of threads that were very valid in 2004, but not so much in 2024. Basically this is a giant historical archive.

I'm wondering as to just what significance there is in 444 AD. I looked it up on wikipedia and they only had a few things of note for that year:

"Events
Pope Leo I extinguishes the Gallican vicariate
Armagh founded by St. Patrick
Dioscorus I becomes Orthodox Patriarch of Alexandria

Deaths
Bricius, bishop of Tours
June 27 - Cyril of Alexandria, theologian http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/444

Also, would 4 X 444, allowing for leap days and the shift to the Gregorian Calender actually get us to July 1, 1776 - the day that the Declaration of Independence was presented to the Continental Congress? or the 4th when it was adopted (after being rewritten somewhat) that was the once signed only by John Hancock and Charles Thomson. or to August 2, 1776 when more of Congress signed it?

But what of the battles with British forces prior to July 1776? What if the roots of the American Revolution were traced to before the Boston Massacre or the Tea Act or any of a number of possible "starts" or roots?

I'm curious. I'll have to run the numbers.

Similar to the word "pagan" which comes from the latin "paganus" meaning "rural dweller" which used to disparage the followers of the old religion who lived in the countryside, unlike the sophisticated, Christian city-dwellers. (Good Heavens! I live in the countryside!)

"As long as it depends on Monothelitism, then Miaphysitism is nothing but a variant of Monophysitism."

444x4 =1776. The stars were created on the fourth day, and 4 is thought to be the day on which the light bringer (Satan - Lucifer) fell with a 'third of the stars of heaven.'

Laugh away.

Thought by whom? Do you have any links that others thought that? And how would that apply to American history anyway? The colonies weren't 1/3 of the British Empire nor was John Adams Lucifer, or could that be Benjamin Franklin with his lightning rod? :)

I can do the math that 444 x 4 = 1776. and 6 x 296 also = 1776 and 2 x 888 and 3 x 592. Sometimes numbers are just numbers.

There is no seal on the constitution

That is not true. Go to the national archives and see for yourself.

Even politicians have commonly referred to the US as "E' Pluribus Unum" (Al Gore recently) and "New World Order, peace and security" George Bush I. There is no peace, there is no security.

Furthermore, Jesus Christ is the only hope for the world.

The mystery of Babylon mother of harlots is "now they are united, they imagine they can do anything." It was good people from the Ark, Noah's children, whose eventual offspring formed the first Babylon escaping by boat from the flood of the world.

I suggest you dig allot deeper than websites for your information.

Democracy is not the hope of mankind, in fact it is seriously flawed.

Jesus Christ is the only hope for the world.

Again 444x4 is another way of saying 1776.

Rev 12.4 "And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born."

The relationship is interesting . The nation born on that date happens to be the first to break with Christendom, 'Why do the nations so furiously rage together, and why do the people imagine a vain thing, to break the bonds and chords that bind us to the Lord and to His Christ....'

So many (Protestant) people in the US ascribe our nation with some sort of biblical virtue in prophecy - when in fact it appears the opposite is the case from a symbolic point of view.

What goes on in our insides, the desire for money, wealth and such, eventually comes out in symbolic forms as part of our defilement. I happen to believe the same is true of nations and their peoples - belly worship and materialism have given rise to something that is essentially a reflection of our sinful nature.

We live in a world filled with lying wonders, and believe in our science and technology - and that we are somehow invincible. The Bible teaches otherwise.
